This place has always been on my list even before my first visit to Madurai. But, it was only during my third visit did I end up having lunch there. Highly recommended for a true style Madurai food and hospitality. You end up buying/eating more than what you actually aim for.

We were 4 of us and so 2 of us ordered Mutton Biryani (₹190) and 2 of us ordered Meals (₹90). Whichever type you are, you are not going to be disappointed with whatever you order. I must have gulped down more than 4-5 Mutton Kola Urundais (₹35/pc) all by myself. Bit pricey but honestly one bite and you start yearning for more. Nei Meen Roast (₹170) was usual but Viral Meen Roast (₹150), stood out for it’s softer texture. But, the Viral Meen in Viral Meen Kuzhambu (₹150) was outstanding. I soooo wish that I can get my hands on such fine food, quiet often, in Chennai.

Nandu Boneless (₹200) was mindblowing with it’s fine pepper taste, whereas Nandu Omelette (₹220) convinced us with it’s pillowy soft texture. Mutton Chukka (₹160) vs Nenju Curry (₹160) and we had no other choice but to announce both as winners.
Happy to have got to taste the Madurai famous Sri Mappilai Vinayagar Brand Nanari Soda (₹30) from here. Worth the hype, I would say.
